THE QUESTION

The AP is writing about supply chain disruptions and price increases. Nobody is connecting Palantir to Anduril to TSMC to ASML to China to the summit. Nobody is asking: If the war creates demand for autonomous weapons, and autonomous weapons need advanced chips, and advanced chips need TSMC, and TSMC is in Taiwan, and China claims Taiwan—who benefits from a war that simultaneously depletes American resources while increasing American dependence on the one island China wants most?

The technology is new. The war is not.
